6 x modular steel pontoons - road transportable (18.2m x 9.4m c 1.5m) "Slade Point" pontoons can be added to form 8-module barge.

Construction of RORO Wharf, LGL Gold, Lihir Island, PNG.

Works included design and fabrication of “Over the Top” falsework system. Driving piles up to 45 metres in length. Dynamic Pile Testing as required.

Wharf Extensions and new Berthing Dolphins PCQ – Horn Island

Works included new fender piles for the existing wharf, construction of 2 new berthing dolphins, and installation of gangways and bracing.

THE UNUSUAL
Replace sign in McCready's Creek for Ergon Energy

Being a tidal creek, work was dependent upon low tide plus access was only by wading through water or by dinghy. The old broken sign had to be removed, new concrete hand-poured, sign attached to posts and then pulled up into position. Posts were denso wrapped for protection.

Giles Crane and materials were loaded onto a hire barge. Barge steamed to site. Drove fender piles and installed jacket sleeves & pile caps from barge.

Construction of 2 Dolphins on Horn Island for Ports Corporation of Queensland

Work included: Removal of debris/rock from seabed; Supply, paint, drive and splice steel piling; On-site Welding; Denso Wrapping; Formwork, Placement of reinforcing, concreting of 2 Dolphins, Supply & Installation of Walkways, handrails etc; Extraction of existing piling; Driving of new Fender Piles; Repairs to Existing Wharf.

Installation of new Beacons and Maintenance of existing Beacons at Gladstone for Comalco Aluminium Limited

Work included: Splicing and Driving of 9 new 1200 dia Steel Beacon Piles; Supply & Installation of Navigation Aid Structures; Installation of new fittings eg clamps, ladders, platforms, daymarks, lampstand etc; where required, lattice section of beacon; Modifications of existing aid structures.

Maintenance of Jetty at Seisia (Cape York) for Qld Transport

Work included: Replacement of Fender Piles, deck units & kerb units, wale beams and handrails; Removal of fuel pipeline; Disconnection of old and supply & install of new water supply pipeline; Patch painting; Concrete repairs; and Dolphin Fender Pile repairs.


Construction of 2 Dolphins in Western Samoa for Australian Department of Defence

Work included: Design; Supply & Contouring of Rock Bank; Supply and Driving of Painted Steel Piles;  Setting up of formwork for dolphins & pouring of concrete; On-site Welding; Fabrication & installation of walkways, handrails and ladders; Supply & Connection of Electricity, Plumbing & Fire Systems from shore to Dolphins; Supply and Connection of Fender System.
